easiest pulled pork EVER
So my cousin makes pulled pork that is out of this world, and not to mention safe for her kids that have allergies, and I finally got the recipe! It’s seriously the easiest and most delicious pulled pork ever! It has 3 ingredients- meat, root beer, and bbq sauce. That’s right I said it, ROOT BEER.
Here are the step by step directions:
I buy a bone-in boston pork butt and rinse it with water before putting it into the crock pot. I add root beer- any kind is fine, I just had Barqs on hand. I used 3 cans.

The root beer is not covering the pork, about 2/3 of the way full. Then I turned the crock pot on low and THAT’S IT! It literally took 3 minutes. I let it cook on LOW for 8-12 hours depending on the size. I used a 7lb butt and cooked it about 10 hours. Overnight cooking is also great! The bone will literally fall out in the cooking process and the meat will be so tender it will be falling apart before you touch it! It’s amazing!
Once the time is up you can start the fun part- shredding! It’s easier than you think and it takes less time that you think because the meat is so tender.

I gathered my supplies which consisted of a knife and fork to separate the meat and fat, a bowl for the meat, a bowl for the fat, and a scoop to get the meat out of the crock pot. I scooped out a little bit of the meat at a time and literally touched it and it shredded. I pulled the fat off and put the meat in my meat bowl.

After the shredding I took some of the liquid in the crock pot and strained it of the little bits lefts in it. I put the shredded meat back into the crock pot and added a little juice to keep it moist and a few glugs of bbq sauce. Mix and its done!

Simple as that and you have dinner for several! It stores really well-fridge or freezer and it’s delicious! It’s so simple that even the kids could do it ;) But seriously, this will become a classic family favorite!
New Wall Art
Alright, so I wanted new wall art and I decided to make this super cheap and easy DIY 4- piece interchangeable artwork. I started with 4 really cheap 12in x 12in canvases that I already had, mod podge, fabric that I purchased on sale, buttons from walmart that I bought, a staple gun and paint that I already had, and I set to work.

I covered 2 of the canvases in different sections of this awesome fabric:

using mod podge to cover the canvas first the rolling the fabric out smoothly. I staples the back of it using a staple gun:

Next I used a golden yellow color and I mixed pink and orange until I got a coral color that matched to paint the other 2 square canvases.

once they were dry I arranged buttons into patterns that i liked and dabbed mod podge on top of the buttons to let it seep through the holes to glue it down. The white shows at first, but it will dry clear.

I came up with this creation:

They are interchangeable of course because they are separate pieces. I chose a J because my name starts with J but you could have done a different pattern on them or letter, etc.
The only two things I bought were fabric on sale for $4 and buttons at walmart for $1.97. The other supplies I had already so it made this project super cheap!
beer pong cake!
2 sheet cakes placed together, frosted, and decorated!!
The cups are covered in homemade blue fondant, the balls are homemade white fondant, and the “beer” is caramelized sugar!
paula dean’s modified banana pudding!
I changed the original PD recipe a little bit to make my perfect dessert. I layered vanilla wafers, bananas, pudding, cool whip.
PUDDING LAYER: mix 2 sm boxes instant french vanilla pudding + 3 cups cold milk with hand mixer
COOL WHIP LAYER: mix 8oz soft crm chz + 7-10oz swt condensed milk until smooth, then fold in 12oz thawed cool whip.
Layer and garnish with dollop of cool whip, bananas, crushed wafers and serve chilled
Homemade strawberry cake w/ light and fluffy icing! Easier than it looks!
For the cake: white cake mix plus 3T of flour. follow the recipe on the back And add 1C of frozen strawberries. Cook according to box.
For the icing: In a double boiler add 1C frozen strawberries, 1C sugar, and 2 egg whites and beat it until it peaks- use a hand mixer-it takes like 20 minutes beating by hand bc you can’t stop or it’ll burn!
MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT USE STRAWBERRIES IN SYRUP! it messes up the consistency of the frosting.
This is delicious! Enjoy!!!
